For over 40 years, Steppingstone Waterside Theatre has been a major part of the Great Neck Park District summer scene. This summer features an incredible line-up of performers including Blues Traveler, led by the singer/harmonica aficionado, John Popper, the very talented Taylor Dayne, who had 18 top hits including the No. 1 Billboard hit "Love Will Lead You Back" and a special Thursday evening concert performed by Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, who made their national debut on the Today Show. Sepideh returns for our annual Persian show, held at North Hempstead Beach Park on Sunday, August 5 at 7 p.m. You may want to clear your summer calendar because every concert is a winner!
ALL CONCERTS BEGIN AT 8 P.M. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. All performances in Steppingstone Park are free for Park District residents with a valid park card. Each park card holder is permitted to bring two (2) guests per park card at no extra charge.

Big Shot - The Ultimate Billy Joel Experience
Mike DelGuidice, who currently tours with Billy Joel and his band, returns with Big Shot for another great evening of Billy Joel’s best.
Versatile vocalist Jessica Fishenfeld returns to Great Neck to share the stage with dynamic singers Scott Joiner and Ta'Nika Gibson, accompanied by pianist Dr. Pamela Levy and a string duo, performing favorite Opera, Broadway, and Jazz selections. Jessica has been hailed by the likes of Opera News, Opera Canada Magazine, and Palm Beach ArtsPaper for her “dramatic voice” “firmly placed soprano," “soaring, glittering high notes and nice, easily audible chest tones," and "sensitive" performances.
Taylor Dayne scored her first major hit when her debut single "Tell It to My Heart" reached the Top Ten on the Hot 100. She then had 17 top hits including the No. 1 Billboard hit “Love Will Lead You Back.”
Based on the hit movie, this musical follows a woman hiding in a convent who finds her own voice as she helps her fellow sisters find theirs.

Beer and Wine Festival!
The Meade Brothers @ 2 p.m.
Rubix Kube @ 7 p.m.
The Meade Brothers open the Beer & Wine Festival with a broad range of music from the ‘50’s through the ‘70’s. Later that evening, Rubix Kube plays all the popular hits we know and love from the ‘80’s, including music by artists such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, Cher, Prince and more.
This group teamed with producer Randy Jackson and made their national TV debut on the Today show. “They may be from Brooklyn, but their fiery brass and gospel-infused funk is rooted in Memphis soul,” writes the LA Times.
at North Hempstead Park, 175 West Shore Road, Port Washington
In partnership with the Town of North Hempstead (Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Council Member Anna Kaplan and the Town Board), the annual Persian show returns to North Hempstead Park with Sepideh. Sepideh believes in being a strong, sexy, proud, yet independent Persian woman, breaking away from the previously perceived Persian female image of victim.
Dance Visions NY, celebrated dance company under the direction of Great Neck's own Beth Jucovy, brings a full company of acclaimed dancers to Steppingstone Waterside Theater. Renowned for an authentic Isadora Duncan repertoire, these dancers present uplifting works by Duncan as well as original Jucovy favorites, fusing styles of jazz, ballet and contemporary dance. Shirley Romaine will host.
Event begins at 4 p.m. with lawn games, family fun, beer for purchase and more. The legendary Blues Traveler band, lead by singer/harmonica player John Popper, takes the stage at 7 p.m. for a night you will remember.
Our Annual Folkfest returns with host Dave Sear opening for the Crosby, Stills and Nash tribute band, CSN Songs. You will hear all Dave’s folk songs along with the top hits from the legendary band that played at Woodstock.

Labor Day Weekend kicks off with the music of the Eagles. Don Henley and Glen Frey wrote countless hits that you will hear Eaglemania perform.
Neil Berg continues the tradition of closing the Steppingstone season with his homage to the hits of Broadway. He brings a talented group of singers and musicians to perform selections from the most beloved Broadway shows.
